Carolyn Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Peer Ambassador at Burnett Honors College before transitioning to a Research Assistant role at UCF University Relations in 2005. In this position, they assisted the Director of Federal Relations by compiling legislation data and tracking the activities of Florida congressional delegates.

Johnson then joined the Florida House of Representatives in 2006, initially as a District Administrator before becoming a Legislative Assistant in 2010. Their responsibilities included managing the Representative's legislation and amendments, attending community and civic functions, and supervising interns.

In 2012, Johnson briefly worked as an Assistant Campaign Manager for the Yes on Amendment 4 Campaign. Carolyn then moved on to the Florida Chamber of Commerce in 2013, where they held the role of Senior Director of Business, Economic Development & Innovation Policy. In this position, they researched and proposed legislation related to economic development and business climate issues, drafted communications, and maintained relationships with legislators and stakeholders.

Johnson's most recent role was as the Vice President of Government Affairs at the Florida Chamber of Commerce, starting in July 2022. Additional details regarding the end dates for several roles were not provided.

Carolyn Johnson has a strong education background. Carolyn obtained their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Central Florida, where they studied Public Administration. This academic journey took place from 2006 to 2009. In addition, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Central Florida from 2006 to 2008.

Prior to their graduate studies, Carolyn Johnson completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree at the University of Central Florida. This undergraduate program spanned from 2002 to 2006 and focused on Political Science, Advertising, and Public Relations.
