Patrick D. Dempsey

Director, Center For Learning And Student Success at Florida Atlantic University

Patrick D. Dempsey, M.Ed., MBA has had various roles during their work experience. Patrick D. started in 2012 as an FAU Libraries Special Collections Intern with a focus on Public History. In 2013, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Marketing. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as an eLearning Success Coordinator before transitioning to the role of Assistant Director of eSuccess. In 2015, they also became an Adjunct Professor in the First Year Experience and Business Learning Community, a position they held until 2019. In 2016 and 2017, they were the Lead Facilitator for the Appreciative Advising Online Course. In 2022, they served as the Interim Director and then the Director of the Center for Learning and Student Success at Florida Atlantic University.

Patrick D. Dempsey, M.Ed., MBA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Political Science from Florida Atlantic University. Patrick D. also holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In addition, they have a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University's College of Business, which they completed in 2015. Dempsey has obtained various certifications, including Delegating Tasks from LinkedIn, Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, Google IT Support Professional Certificate from Google, Learning Center Leadership Certification - Level 3 from the National College Learning Center Association, Certified Appreciative Advisor from the Office Of Appreciative Education, and Executive Certificate in Hospitality Management from FAU Executive Education.
