Karen Gent has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Karen recently joined FloPlast Ltd as an Operations Director in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Aliaxis for many years, starting as a Shift Manager in 2005 and gradually taking on roles of increasing responsibility. At Aliaxis, Karen served as a Safety & Manufacturing Cell Leader, Injection Moulding Manager, Production Manager, and finally as a Manufacturing Director from 2019 to 2022. Before joining Aliaxis, they worked at Telcon Packaging as a Production Shift Supervisor and at Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks as a Production Support Supervisor. Karen began their career as a Production Engineer at BICC CABLES LIMITED in 1997.

Karen Gent earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in 2018 and holds a Chartered Mechanical Engineer certification from IMechE.
