Yousef Okasheh has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Yousef began their career in 2012 as a server at Coffee House Cafe in Dallas, Texas, where they provided excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. In 2013, they joined the iGEM competition as a research team member, where they developed project ideas, received training in molecular biology lab techniques, and learned about plasmid design programs.
Yousef then worked as a research assistant at the Krische Group at UT Austin, specializing in synthetic organic chemistry. Here, they assisted graduate students in ongoing projects and gained valuable insights into chromatographic techniques and reaction optimization strategies.
In 2014, Yousef joined the Ellington Lab at UT Austin as a research assistant, furthering their research experience.
In 2016, Yousef founded MUSA VR, a virtual reality 360 video production company. Yousef specialized in using 360 video and VR as a sales and marketing tool for SMBs, with clients ranging from music festivals to flooring companies.
In 2017, Yousef became the CEO of Actum Lab North America Inc., a subsidiary of Floori. Yousef successfully introduced Floori.io, an augmented reality flooring visualizer, to the market, enabling flooring professionals to attract more customers and boost their close rates.
In 2019, Yousef worked as a sales operations consultant at OrderFloors.com, a flooring e-commerce business. This subsidiary of CRT Flooring focused on fulfilling Costco Flooring orders in Texas.
