Subit Chakrabarti has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Subit is currently the Vice President of Technology at Floodbase since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Technology at Floodbase from June 2021 to February 2023. Before joining Floodbase, Subit worked at Indigo starting in 2018. Their roles at Indigo included being a Team Lead in Remote Sensing and Geoscience from January 2021 to June 2021, a Senior Data Scientist from January 2020 to January 2021, and a Data Scientist II from December 2018 to January 2020.

Earlier in their career, Subit worked as a Remote Sensing Data Scientist at TellusLabs from September 2017 to December 2018. Subit also held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at both the Center for Remote Sensing, University of Florida and the Computational Neuro-Engineering Laboratory, University of Florida from September 2012 to September 2017. Additionally, Subit gained experience as an Indian Academy of Sciences Intern at the Robotics and Mechatronics Lab, Bengal Engineering and Sciences University, Shibpur from April 2011 to August 2011. Subit also worked as a Research Intern at Robosapiens India from April 2010 to August 2010.

Subit Chakrabarti completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, from 2008 to 2012. Subit then pursued further studies at the University of Florida, where they obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from 2012 to 2014. Subsequently, they continued their education at the University of Florida, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering, a program that they completed from 2012 to 2017.
