Lukas Niklaus has a diverse work experience in the field of animation. Lukas co-founded and served as a director at Floating Rock Studio since March 2020. Lukas also worked as an instructor at CGMA | Computer Graphics Master Academy starting from January 2020. Lukas worked as an animator at Wt FX from June 2020 to December 2021. Lukas was a senior animator at Lost Cosmonauts from March 2020 to April 2021, where they collaborated with the Valve team and expressed pride in their work. Lukas joined Animal Logic in June 2019 as a senior animator and worked on Peter Rabbit 2, where they had the opportunity to take full ownership of their work. Before that, they had also worked at Wt FX, Industrial Light & Magic, MPC, and Framestore in various animator roles. At MPC, they worked on PAN and Terminator Genisys, while at Framestore, they worked on Paddington. Lukas Niklaus began their education in 2000 at BBZL Berufsbildungszentrum Luzern, where they studied Typography and Graphic Design until 2004. Lukas then pursued Advanced Character Animation at Animation Mentor from 2008 to 2010. In 2013, Lukas attended iAnimate.net, specializing in Body Mechanics/Pantomime for Character Animation. In 2014, they furthered their studies in Performance/Acting for Character Animation at Animsquad.com. Lukas expanded their education in 2020-2021, studying Data Science with Python at Dataquest.io. Currently, Lukas is enrolled in Anthesis Atelier - Tatyana Kulida, focusing on Classical Realist Art from 2016 to 2024.
