Andrew Dale has extensive work experience in a range of industries, beginning in 2008 with a Summer Analyst role at RBC Dominion Securities. In 2009, they moved to RBC Capital Markets as an Analyst in Global Investment Banking, where they achieved the #1 performance ranking in their Analyst class. In 2010, they joined OMERS Private Equity as a Private Equity Associate, and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2012. In 2014, they joined Acasta Capital as Vice President and Partner, one of the youngest Partner-level executives on Canada's Bay Street. In 2016, they founded and became CEO of Daveed Bags, a profitable, sustainable D2C travel bag company with customers in 30+ countries. In 2020, they joined Shopify as Finance Lead for Shopify Balance & Capital, leading complex, cross-functional due diligence and contract negotiations. In 2021, they became Chief of Staff and Head of Operations at Micro (a Ford-backed startup), responsible for day-to-day management of a 15-person team. In 2022, they joined Float as Head of Financial Services & Risk and General Manager of the Charge Card business line, with P&L responsibility and a team of managers and engineers.
Andrew Dale attended the Schulich School of Business at York University from 2005 to 2009, where they received an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration with a Finance Specialization. In 2008, they also attended The University of Hong Kong, where they received a BBA in Business Administration and Management, General.
