Gene Tsai is an experienced professional in the tech and app development industry, currently serving as the first employee at Flipboard since November 2009, where Flipboard was recognized as Apple's iPad App of the Year. As the founder of SircambridgeWorks, Gene specializes in developing iPhone apps aimed at the Asian market. Previous roles include weekend hacker at YourVersion, which garnered the People’s Choice award at TechCrunch50 '09, and zoo musicologist at Aardvark, where involvement contributed to the successful launch of a mobile iPhone app. Gene also worked as a software engineer at Mochila, developing a content management system for a prominent ad-supported content distribution network. Gene holds a B.S. in Physics with minors in History, Math, and Design from Purdue University.
