Joshua Karpen has extensive work experience in the engineering and sales fields. Joshua most recently worked at FlexGen as an Application Engineer since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at TMEIC as a Sales Application Engineer from September 2020 to May 2022. Before TMEIC, Joshua worked at Faber Industrial Technologies as an Automation Sales Engineer from August 2019 to September 2020, and at Parker Hannifin as a Territory Manager from September 2017 to April 2019. Earlier in their career, they had two separate roles at TMEIC as a Sales Application Engineer from July 2013 to September 2017 and from September 2008 to July 2013. Joshua began their career as an Engineering Intern at Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute from June 2007 to August 2008.

Joshua Karpen began their education at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 2002 and completed their Associate of Science degree in an unspecified field of study in 2005. Joshua then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at North Carolina State University from 2005 to 2008.
