Melanie Swan has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Melanie started their career as a Senior Accountant at Schaefer Systems International, where they analyzed inventory costs and handled sales and use tax returns. Melanie then worked as a Controller at CBM Environmental, overseeing financial operations. At Time Warner Cable Media Sales, Melanie served as a Finance Manager, managing the accounting and finance department and implementing process improvements. Melanie later joined Venturi Technology Partners as a Regional Controller before moving on to LendingTree, LLC as a Senior Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting. In this role, they prepared financial data for regulatory filings and managed relationships with external financial service providers. Most recently, Melanie worked at Flexential as a Senior Financial Analyst, where they designed revenue and headcount/salary models and performed variance analysis. Overall, Melanie's experience spans various industries and responsibilities, demonstrating their expertise in financial management and reporting.

Melanie Swan received their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. In 1995, they obtained their CPA certification from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners.
