Gary Provost has held various roles throughout their work experience. Gary began their career as a Programmer Analyst at American Management Systems in 1994, where they transitioned to a full-time Solaris System Administrator. Gary then worked at Sun Microsystems as a Support Engineer, where they provided technical support for customers and specialized in the Sun storage product line. Gary also worked as a Knowledge Engineer, focusing on improving the knowledge base for supporting staff and customers. Gary later joined Dex One Corp. as the Director of Information Technology, overseeing IT operations for their digital applications. Gary then became the Vice President of Infrastructure Services. Following that, they worked at Real Colorado Soccer as a Volunteer Board Member. Gary then joined Hitachi Data Systems as the Director of Service Delivery and Infrastructure Operations. Gary then moved on to Peak 10 + ViaWest as the Regional Data Center Director. Currently, they are working at Flexential as the Sr. Director of Service Support.

Gary Provost attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
