Alex Pearson has over 10 years of work experience in the technology field. Alex began their career in 2010 as the Public Relations Officer at Lion's Pause Night Club. In 2011, they co-founded Shackle Island Crossfit and Weightlifting, where they served as the CEO and Head Coach. From 2013 to 2019, Alex worked as a Freelance Web Developer and Technology Education Consultant, providing customized solutions for the modern web. In 2014, they were the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Outreach at Claim Academy, a bootcamp-style series of courses in basic application development. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Lead Instructor and Front-End Team Lead and Senior Developer at Five-Star Technology Solutions. From 2017 to 2018, they were the Senior Lead Software Engineer at Volley, where they led the team of software developers building out the web application. From 2018 to 2019, they were the CTO and Co-founder of Platter, a branching Postgres database platform for the cloud. Currently, Alex is a Software Engineer at Flexbase.
Alex Pearson attended St. Olaf College from 2007 to 2011, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Alex then obtained a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer's Certificate from CrossFit, Inc. in December 2011. In August 2012, they earned a USAW Sports Performance Coach L1 from USA Weightlifting. Finally, in August 2013, they became a Catalyst Athletics CF-L1 Weightlifting Coach.
