Calvin Cheng is a seasoned patent attorney and shareholder at Fletcher Yoder, where responsibilities include preparing and filing patent applications with the US Patent & Trademark Office and collaborating with in-house counsel and inventors on intellectual property strategies. Prior to this role, Calvin served as Assistant General Counsel at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, responding to taxpayer requests for tax redetermination and refunds. Previous experience includes work as a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, representing CA Technologies in ongoing patent litigation, and at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, representing Apple in a significant patent infringement trial. Calvin also has a background as a Micro Applications Developer at Universal Computer Systems. Educational qualifications include a JD from The University of Texas School of Law and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University.
