George Thompson is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public affairs and media relations. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Senior Partner, General Manager at FleishmanHillard since July 2020, George oversees operations in Washington, D.C. Prior to this role, George was a Partner at Banner Public Affairs from January 2014 to July 2020, leading media relations and integrated communications for corporate clients. George's earlier experience includes more than 16 years at FleishmanHillard, where responsibilities encompassed managing business-to-government communications for the aerospace and defense sector and vice president duties for EMEA communications programs. George began the career as Communications Manager at the Electronic Messaging Association and holds a BA in Political Science from The College of Wooster.
