Shana Nys Dambrot is an accomplished art critic with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as an art critic for 13ThingsLA since May 2024, where curated art exhibitions are highlighted weekly. Dambrot has been a writer for Village Voice since February 2021, focusing on New York exhibitions and art-related media. Additional contributions include roles as a writer for Artillery Magazine and Flaunt Magazine, as well as a member of ArtTable since 2017. Previously, Dambrot held the position of arts editor for LA Weekly from April 2018 to March 2024 and contributed writing to KCET's Artbound and Whitehot Magazine. Dambrot holds a degree in Art History from Vassar College, where studies included art criticism, conservation, French, and film.
