Stephan Simmang is an accomplished technology leader with significant experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at flatexDEGIRO AG since November 2020, and concurrently holding the position of CTO and interim Co-CEO at flatex AG since June 2016, Simmang has contributed to strategic technology initiatives at both organizations. Prior to these roles, Simmang spent nearly two decades at Goldman Sachs AG, where responsibilities included Executive Director of Banking Divisional Systems for the EMEA region and London. Simmang's career began as a self-employed IT consultant while attending RWTH Aachen University, where a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering was obtained.
