Wouter Favoreel is an experienced engineering and management professional currently serving as the Cluster Manager of Production at Flanders Make since December 2022, focusing on supporting companies in Industry 4.0 and 5. Prior to this role, Wouter was the VP of Engineering and Site Lead at Teledyne FLIR from April 2011 to February 2022, overseeing the engineering team for the Traffic business unit following the acquisition of Traficon. Wouter's career began at Traficon, where contributions included roles as Innovations Manager and R&D Engineer from October 1999 to April 2011, dedicated to developing smart cameras for traffic safety and efficiency. Wouter holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven, as well as degrees in Control Theory from the University of Stuttgart and Mechanical Engineering from Faculté Polytechnique de Mons.
