Clara Troccoli has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. From 2022 to present, they have been a Scientist at Flagship Biosciences, Inc. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where their research focused on elucidating the biological phenomena that promote the selection of oncogenic mutation-bearing clones in the pre-malignant lung. From 2015 to 2021, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where they investigated the ways that cancer develops stress responses in order to increase its malignancy and avoid tumor-suppressing mechanisms. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Clara Troccoli began their educational journey in 2010 when they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Florida Atlantic University in 2013. Clara then obtained a Certificate in Biotechnology from the Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (FAU) in December 2013. In 2015, they began their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oncology and Cancer Biology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and is expected to complete their degree in 2021.
