Bill Douglas has significant experience in both the healthcare and military sectors. From 2001 onwards, they worked as the Director of Safety & Security at Flagler Hospital, Inc., where they oversaw the safety and security personnel and managed the emergency preparedness program. Bill also served as the hospital's OSHA safety officer, reviewing and addressing deficiencies and issues regarding safety, security, hazardous materials, and more.
Prior to their work at Flagler Hospital, Inc., Douglas had a long career in the US Marine Corps and Florida Army National Guard, starting in 1971. Bill served as a military aviator, flying various rotorwing aircraft. Throughout their military career, they held different positions such as platoon leader, intelligence officer, operations officer, executive officer, and counterdrug coordination officer. Bill reached the rank of Colonel and served as the Director of the National Counterdrug Civil-Military Institute in San Luis Obisipo, CA. Their military career ended in May 2000.
Bill Douglas earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Rollins College in 1979. Bill later pursued a Master's Degree in Management from Webster University, completing it in 1994.
