Andrea Battaglia currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at FIWARE since January 2024. Prior to this role, Andrea was with Red Hat from December 2014 to January 2024, holding positions such as Business Development Manager for Edge Computing in the EMEA region, EMEA Technical Partner Development Manager, and EMEA Middleware Architect. Previous experience includes positions as Software Architect at ContactLab, Java Technical Leader at Gruppo Reti and Allianz Italia, Project Leader at Reitek S.p.A., and Team Leader at I&T Servizi. Andrea holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Università della Calabria, where studies were completed from 2002 to 2007.
