Ívar Daði Þorvaldsson has been in the software development industry since 2007. In 2007, they began as a Proofreader at Morgunblaðið. Ívar Daði Þorvaldsson attended Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík/Reykjavík Junior College from 2006 to 2010 and obtained a Matriculation Examination in Mathematics and Physics. Ívar Daði then attended Háskóli Íslands from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Software Engineering. Ívar Daði continued their education at Chalmers University of Technology from 2014 to 2016 and earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Software Engineering.
