Darren Wheeler has a diverse work experience spanning over 35 years. Darren is currently the Director of Business Development at Five Stones Research Corporation, where they are responsible for corporate growth initiatives and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities. Darren also supports capture and proposal activities in the Federal Market Space, particularly in the areas of MDA, PEO Missiles and Space, PEO Aviation, and Army Test & Evaluation Command.
Prior to their current role, Darren served as a BOD Member at the Huntsville Aerospace Marketing Association, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Darren has also been actively involved in the Space and Missile Defense Symposium. Darren served as the Exhibits Chair, responsible for organizing and coordinating exhibits, and later as the Security Vice Chair.
Before joining Five Stones Research Corporation, Darren worked at a.i. solutions as a Program Manager and Business Development and Systems Engineer. In their role as Program Manager, they oversaw the daily management of a prime contract supporting the Missile Defense Agency's Quality and Mission Assurance activities. Darren played a significant role in successfully winning a $200M/5-year contract. Darren also served as a Business Development and Ballistic Missile Defense System Systems Engineer.
Darren's experience also extends to academia, where they served as an Adjunct Professor of Management at George Mason University. Darren played a key role in establishing the university's Defense Track Executive MBA program and was sought out for their expertise in Defense Acquisition practices and processes.
Before their academic career, Darren held leadership positions at Engility Corporation as the General Manager and Program Manager. As the General Manager, they were responsible for managing operations supporting various defense agencies. As a Program Manager, they achieved certifications in Program Management and Life Cycle Logistics and demonstrated a firm understanding of defense acquisition processes and documentation.
Darren started their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served for 10 years as a Marine in various roles, including Combat Developer/Program Manager, CBRND Operations Chief, and Marine Liaison.

Darren Wheeler completed their education with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Park University in 2004. Furthermore, Darren pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from George Mason University - School of Business, specializing in Executive MBA, which they completed between 2007 and 2009.
