Jaco van Zyl is an experienced mining professional with over 30 years in the industry, currently serving as Longwall Move Superintendent at Fitzroy Mining Operations since February 2017. Previous roles include Longwall Superintendent and Coordinator at several major companies, including Anglo American and Glencore PLC, where Jaco effectively managed mining activities, developed safety and production strategies, and implemented incident investigations. Jaco's career began at Kumba, progressing from Learner Miner to Miner and Face Boss, establishing a strong foundation in safety and operational excellence.
