Shane Ward is an experienced performance analyst currently serving with the Loughborough Riders since August 2023, where responsibilities include acting as performance analyst and assisting as a coach. Additionally, Shane has held a role as a Talent Identification Consultant at FirstPoint USA since December 2022, focusing on scouting and facilitating opportunities for athletes in basketball and football. Prior experience includes volunteering as a first team and academy analyst for Blackburn Rovers Football Club, and leading analysis for the men's basketball team at the University of Central Lancashire. Shane also volunteered as a shadow sport analyst for Wales Rugby League during the 2022 Rugby League World Cup. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Central Lancashire and is pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Performance Analysis at Loughborough University.
