Namita Gupta has had a diverse work experience in computer software development and architecture. Namita began their career as a Software Engineer at SilverStream Software in 2000 and then moved on to work as a Software Engineer at Novell from 2002 to 2004. Namita then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Charles River Development from 2004 to 2005, before briefly serving as a Software Engineer at S1 Corporation in 2004. In 2005, they worked as a Computer Software Consultant and Contractor at Charles River Development for a short period. In 2007, Namita joined Guidewire Software (formerly FirstBest Systems, Inc.) as a Senior Software Developer, and later progressed to become a Solution Architect in 2014 and then Principal Architect in 2016.

Namita Gupta earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jawahar Lal Nehru Engineering College from 1991 to 1995. Namita also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University during the same time period. Additionally, Namita completed a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Brandeis University from 2000 to 2002.
