Claudio Montoya has an extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Claudio began their career as a Financial Consultant Trainee at Merrill Lynch in 1996. Claudio then went on to work as the Small Business Development Center Director at the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, where they provided consulting services to the business community and managed various programs.
In 2000, Montoya joined Banco Popular North America as a Vice President and Relationship Manager, where they worked for ten years. Claudio then moved on to Associated Bank, where they held two roles. First, as the Vice President and Business Banking Team Leader, they managed the sales activities of a select number of Business Bankers and focused on expanding and deepening customer relationships. Later, as the Vice President and Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Montoya worked closely with Business Bankers, coached the team, and focused on building loan portfolios and deposits.
Montoya then joined The Bancorp as a Vice President and Business Relationship Officer. In this role, they generated new franchise loans nationwide, managed client relationships, and made site visits to assist Portfolio Management Group. Claudio worked at The Bancorp for three years before moving to HomeStar Bank & Financial Services. At HomeStar, they served as the Vice President and Small Business Lending Team Leader, originating loans, managing client relationships, and cross-selling bank services.
Afterwards, Montoya joined LendingClub (formerly Radius Bank) as a Senior Vice President in the Government Guaranteed Lending Division. Their responsibilities included generating new franchise loans, managing client relationships, and cross-selling bank services. Claudio worked at LendingClub for three years before their current role as the Senior Vice President in the Government Guaranteed Lending Division at First Women's Bank, where they specialize in SBA, 7a, 504, and USDA loan programs for business acquisition, refinance, commercial real estate, and franchise lending. Montoya has a proven track record of success in generating loans, managing relationships, and achieving goals and objectives.
Claudio Montoya received their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) between the years 1992 and 1997.
