Alicia Peters has extensive experience in government relations, stakeholder relations, and corporate initiatives. Alicia has held roles such as Director of Corporate Initiatives at First West Credit Union, where they led successful member vote initiatives and increased member engagement. Alicia also co-founded MYCommonwealth (MYC), a national NGO, and worked in various roles in the Government of Canada. Overall, Alicia has a strong background in advocacy, leadership, and youth involvement.
Alicia Peters has a B.A. honours in Political Science, Human Rights, and Law from Carleton University. Alicia continued their education with a Masters in Political Science from Dalhousie University in 2009-2010 and took Masters Classes on Human Rights at Concordia University in 2010. In 2017, they obtained a Green Belt Certification from Lean Sensei International. In 2019, they completed Project Management Essentials at Royal Roads University. Alicia has also obtained various certifications such as Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, Agile Project Leadership, Change Management Foundations, Goal Setting, and Leading Inclusive Teams in recent years.
