Charlie Reese, CMT, is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in sales and analysis. Currently serving as an AVP Analyst on the Alternatives Team at First Trust since September 2015, Charlie previously held positions as an Agent at New York Life Insurance Company and as Senior Vice President of Sales at TJM Institutional Services, where a focus on client relationship building was paramount. Charlie's earlier roles include Vice President of Sales at Sakura Dellsher and various broker positions at Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers. Charlie began a career in finance as a Clerk at Dean Witter and a Runner at Index Futures Group. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Augustana College, earned between 1984 and 1988.
