Xiao L. has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2017, they started their career at KPMG US as a Deal Advisory & Strategy Associate, where they worked until 2019. Following that, Xiao joined Schnitzer Steel as a Senior Analyst, Strategy & Corporate Development, and later promoted to Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development. In 2021, Xiao joined First Student as a Director, Mergers and Acquisitions, supporting over 10 acquisitions. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives at First Student, where they are responsible for annual and long-term planning, performance improvement, as well as launching and evaluating business segments.

Xiao L. holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon, which was earned between 2013 and 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, with an expected completion in 2023. Xiao L. has obtained additional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy and a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. They have also completed a course on Data Monetization Strategy - Creating Value Through Data from MIT Sloan School of Management.
