Johnson’s decades of hard work have established her as one of Alaska’s most prominent business leaders. Active in Alaska’s business, civic and political circles, she has served as Director of International Trade with the Office of the Governor. She was the first woman to serve as president of the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce and, in 1993, became the first woman elected mayor of Cordova. Johnson was named Outstanding Alaskan of the Year in 2013 by the Alaska Chamber.
