Giovanni Sferrazza is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental assessments, permitting, and compliance within the resource development sector, particularly in metal mining. As the President and Director of Environmental Applications Group Inc. since December 2009, Giovanni leads initiatives focused on environmental assessments and compliance. Giovanni also serves as Manager of Permitting and Environmental Assessments at First Mining Gold Corp. since July 2017 and previously held the role of Director of Environmental Services at Nordmin Engineering Ltd. from January 2013 to July 2017. Prior to these positions, Giovanni was the Manager of the Ecological Services Division at ASI Group, where a comprehensive ecological services group and aquatic toxicology lab were established. Giovanni began the career as a Project Manager and Field Biologist at Beak Consultants, developing environmental field programs for impact assessments. Giovanni’s educational background includes a degree in Fish and Wildlife Technology from Sir Sandford Fleming College and ongoing studies in General Biology at Laurentian University.
