Michael Spence is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development and consulting. Currently serving as a Wires Platform Specialty Developer at First Horizon National Corporation since June 2019, Michael has also maintained a self-employed status since 1982 and holds the position of President at Mockingbird Data Systems, Inc. since August 1983. Michael’s previous roles include serving as a contractor and later as Vice President and Principal Developer at Bank of New York Mellon from 2008 to December 2018, along with contracting positions at Intuit, Accuity, The Chase Manhattan Bank, and JPMorgan Chase between 1983 and 2006. Michael began professional development in the financial sector at Thomson Financial Publishing, which evolved into Accuity. Michael completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of New Orleans, having also attended Louisiana Tech University and Slidell High School.
