Jaap Schut, Ph.D., serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and as a Lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on experiential learning and Capstone courses in Cleantech Startups. Additionally, Jaap holds positions as CEO & Founder of 4E Innovation Consulting, providing consultancy services to startups and established companies, and serves as an Instructor with the Mid Atlantic I-Corps Hub. Jaap is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at KickStart Venture Services and a Mentor with the First Flight Venture Center and Great Lakes I-Corps Hub. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Polymeric Materials and Composites from INSA Lyon and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Groningen, Jaap's expertise extends to innovation, commercialization, business strategy, and education in both corporate and academic settings.
