Ronald Maltés has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being a Product Business Analyst at First Factory since October 2022. Prior to that, they founded their own company, Therapp, in June 2020. Ronald also worked at Lionbridge, where they held multiple positions including Product Manager from March 2022 to October 2022 and Senior Global Technology Deployment Manager from October 2019 to June 2022. Furthermore, they served as a Technology Deployment Manager from September 2017 to October 2019, and as a DTP Engineer, Life Sciences from August 2015 to September 2017. Ronald Maltés also gained experience as a Sales/Project Coordinator at Verita Catering Service from May 2014 to August 2015, and as a Marketing Manager at costaricabeauty.com from December 2010 to December 2013. Ronald began their career as a Research Assistant at Universidad de Costa Rica from August 2009 to March 2010.

Ronald Maltés completed their Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR from 2006 to 2011. In 2013, they obtained a Technician degree in Graphic Design from Cyber U Costa Rica. In 2018, Ronald received a Scrum Master Professional Certificate (SMPC) from Universidad Cenfotec and a UX Designer degree from BrainStation, both in the field of Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Ronald has also obtained several certifications. Ronald received a Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in January 2022. In April 2018, they obtained a Scrum Foundations Professional Certificate (SFPC) and a Scrum Master Professional Certificate (SMPC) from CertiProf®. Ronald has also completed various training programs, including FrameMaker 10 Essential Training from lynda.com in August 2015, Online Marketing Fundamentals from lynda.com in July 2015, and The 33 Laws of Typography from lynda.com in July 2015. Additionally, they attended World Usability Day organized by Darwin Zone in November 2015.
