Juan Castro has a range of work experience, starting with their current position as a Web Developer at First Factory since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a jr. Software Developer at the same company from July 2019 to July 2021. Before joining First Factory, Juan was self-employed, working as a Web Developer from October 2018 to July 2019. Juan also had a previous period of self-employment from October 2014 to February 2018, where they worked as a Freelance English Translator.

Juan's earlier work experience includes a position as a Data Analyst at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from August 2010 to July 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Support at IDNET S.A. from August 2008 to September 2010. Juan began their career in the customer support role at Sykes from December 2004 to July 2008.

Juan Castro completed their education history in a chronological order. In 1994 to 1998, they attended the Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, where they focused on English Language and Literature. From 2007 to 2008, they pursued a Technical Server Administrator degree at the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje, specializing in IT Technologies. In 2017, they enrolled in the Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica for Computer Science courses, and they are currently pursuing this field of study. Between 2017 and 2018, Juan obtained two technical degrees from the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje, including one in Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design and another in Software Development. In 2018 to 2019, they completed a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.

Aside from their formal education, Juan obtained several certifications. In June 2020, they completed the "Body Language for Leaders" course through LinkedIn. Juan also achieved "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" certification in the same month and year. More recently, in November 2021, Juan obtained the "Learning GraphQL" certification through LinkedIn.
