Debbie Mehay is a seasoned professional in data governance and management, currently serving as the Head of Data Governance at First Central since January 2022. Prior to this role, Debbie spent nearly three decades at Co-op Insurance, where various positions included Head of Data Management, Claims Insight & Business Intelligence Manager, and General Insurance Pricing Manager. Significant achievements include the creation and deployment of a data migration reconciliation strategy, implementation of a comprehensive Data Management Strategy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR and Solvency II. Noteworthy contributions also encompass releasing £20 million from reserves, influencing the establishment of a Data Science team, and overseeing major data separation projects. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Bangor University, completed in 1991.
