Michael Klassen, CA, currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Controller at First Canadian Financial Group since March 2019. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Senior Controller at Helix IT Inc. from July 2016 to February 2019, and worked as Assurance & Advisory Senior Manager at Deloitte from January 2011 to July 2016. Michael also has experience as a Case Marker at the CA School of Business from June 2006 to April 2015 and served as Assurance Manager at Ernst & Young from January 2005 to January 2011. Michael earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manitoba between 2001 and 2005.
