Austin Thompson is currently the VP of Commercial Banking at First Business. Prior to joining First Business, Austin was an AVP, Portfolio Manager at NBKC Bank, where they managed the bank's commercial lending portfolio including C&I, commercial real estate, commercial construction, residential construction and special assets. Austin also managed the portfolio lenders and monitored the commercial loan portfolio for all credit administration issues.

Before joining NBKC Bank, Austin was a Commercial Banking Representative at Enterprise Bank & Trust for 7 years. Austin began their career in retail banking while finishing their MBA and then transitioned into a credit/portfolio management role working with Senior Management on their credits. Austin then began business development and worked on SBA loans followed by a tenure in the special assets department working with troubled credits and managing the banks other real estate owned.

Austin Thompson has a MBA in Finance from Rockhurst University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance & Banking from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
