Shamika Hamilton is an experienced food service professional currently serving as the Food and Beverage Manager at First Baptist Church of Glenarden since February 2023. Previously, Shamika held the position of Food Service Manager at the University of Maryland from August 2021 to February 2023 and briefly worked as a Produce Buyer at Coastal Sunbelt Produce in early 2020 before being furloughed due to the Covid pandemic. Shamika's culinary experience includes roles as Sous Chef at Ruth's Chris Steak House, where work was performed at multiple locations, and at Miss Shirley's Cafe and Capital Restaurant Concepts. Additionally, Shamika served as Chef at Ridgewells Catering. Shamika earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Johnson and Wales University in Norfolk, Virginia, between 1996 and 1998.
