Cheng Yu is a software engineer with extensive experience in developing applications and tools for various industries. Currently employed at Firely since April 2021, Cheng focuses on Firely Server and related development tools. Previous roles include software engineering positions at ENTER BV and Shell, contributing to the Radiant project aimed at supporting geologists and reservoir engineers. As a senior software engineer at Fugro Innovation Center, Cheng played a key role in creating a web application for the Rotterdamsebaan tunnel project, later branded as Gaia Insight. Initial experience includes tools development at Fugro GeoICT and remote sensing algorithm enhancement at GeoSignum. Cheng holds a Master of Science in Geoinformatics from the University of Twente and a Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying Technology from Tongji University, with skills in C/C++, Matlab, Python 3, and Debian.
