Dara Collopy has been in the engineering field since 2018. Dara began as an Internship at ESB Networks in 2018 and then moved on to become a Programme Testing Lead at Document Centric Solutions in 2019. In 2020, they were a Design Engineering Intern at CroiValve and is currently a Research and Development Engineer at FIRE1 Foundry since 2021. Prior to that, Dara was self-employed as a Teacher from 2016.

Dara Collopy has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin, obtained in 2018. Dara then studied abroad at the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. In 2021, they obtained their Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin. In 2015, they obtained a German C1 Fluency Certificate from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
