Annette Kent has worked in a variety of roles in the medical and research industries since 1996. Annette began their career as a Clinical Research Associate at ICON Clinical Research in 1996. From 1998 to 2002, they were the Professional Services Manager at United Drug. Annette then became Managing Director of Scope Educational Services in 2002. In 2005, they joined Amgen as a Regional Medical Liaison and was promoted to Senior Regional Medical Liaison and Senior Manager of Regional Medical Liaison. In 2015, they became a Fellow at BioInnovate (Biodesign Stanford Affiliate) at NUI Galway and a Scientific Project Manager at Trinity College Dublin. Annette was also a Board Member at Angelman Syndrome Ireland from 2016 to 2017 and Managing Director at Purple Dot Consulting Ltd from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they were the Clinical Director at FIRE1 Foundry from 2017 to present.
Annette Kent has a diverse educational background. In 1987, they attended University College Dublin, where they earned a Science degree with a major in Pharmacology and a minor in Biochemistry in 1991. Following this, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from University College Dublin in 1995. In 2000, they attended Dublin Business School where they earned a CDip AF in Accountancy and Finance. In 2009, they attended IPA Institute of Public Administration and earned a Diploma in Health Economics. In 2015, they attended University of Galway and earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation in Medical Device Innovation. Most recently, in 2020, they attended INSEAD and earned a Leadership Communication with Impact degree in Leadership.
