Rylee Pettersson

Principal Advisor Local Advisory Committees at Fire and Emergency NZ

Rylee Pettersson is an experienced professional in emergency management and planning with a notable career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Principal Advisor for Local Advisory Committees and Local Planning at Fire and Emergency NZ since May 2021, Rylee previously held the position of Group Welfare Manager at the Nelson Tasman Emergency Management Office from May 2016 to May 2021. Prior roles include Policy Planner at the Nelson City Council, National Adviser at the Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management, and Hazard Analyst at the Greater Wellington Regional Council. Rylee holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geography from the University of Canterbury, completed from 1996 to 1999, and attended Nelson College for Girls from 1991 to 1995.
