Liz Metsers is a Geospatial Specialist at Waimakariri District Council since November 2022, with extensive experience in business intelligence and analysis roles at Fire and Emergency NZ and the New Zealand Fire Service, both since July 2012. Previously, Liz held the position of GIS Analyst at the Department of Conservation and was involved in geostatistical modeling as an Assistant Research Fellow at the University of Otago. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Wildlife Management from the University of Otago, a Bachelor of Science in Ecology & Biodiversity from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.
