Catherine Duggan has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Catherine is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), where they are responsible for providing visionary leadership and support to member organizations and academic institutions worldwide. Prior to their role at FIP, Catherine held the position of Director of Professional Development and Support at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, where they oversaw the delivery of professional advice and support to members and developed strategies for promoting good practice within the profession. Catherine also has experience as an Associate Clinical Director at East and South East NHS and as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy. Catherine's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of the Alcohol and Drug Programme at Bart's NHS Trust.
Catherine Duggan pursued their education in Pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy, University of London. Catherine earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree from 1988 to 1991. Later, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree specializing in Pharmacy and Health Services Research from 1993 to 1998.
