Swapna Desai has over fifteen years of work experience in the Human Resources and Technology fields. Swapna began their career in 2003 as a Software Engineer at BAZ Software Pvt. Ltd. where they were responsible for application development, customer support, project documentation, unit and integrated software testing, and deployment. In 2005, they became an Independent Consultant for KGK Group of Companies and then joined dEEVOiR as a Management Consultant. At dEEVOiR, they were responsible for strategy consulting, capital advisory, lead generation and pre-sales, and project implementation. In 2015, they became the Project Manager HR Shared Services at dEEVOiR, where they were responsible for pre-sales, project implementation, project stabilization, HRIS implementation, and managing operations, quality, and compliance. In 2020, they became the Head HR at Fintso and Strategic HR and HR Operations at Shareyourhr.

Swapna Desai began their educational journey in 1997 when they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Jobs For Women. Swapna then went on to obtain a Systems Engineer degree from the National Institute of Information Technology in 2004, followed by a Diploma in Human Resources from the Welingkar Institute of Management in 2005. In 2008, Desai earned an MBA in Human Resources and Behavioural Sciences from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). In 2012, Desai obtained a Facilitator of 'The Extraordinary Leader' certification from Zenger Folkman.
