Jing Wang

Executive Chairman at FinTell

Jing Wang has extensive experience in the finance and banking industries. From 1998 to 2015, they worked at American Express, where they held various roles, including Director of Consumer Risk Management for the Costco Portfolio, Vice President of Information Management, Vice President of Consumer Risk Management, Vice President and Head of Enterprise Model Validation Group, Vice President and Head of Enterprise Model Validation and Global Operational Risk Oversight, and Senior Vice President and Head of Enterprise Model Validation. In 2015, they joined Baidu, Inc. as Corporate Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Baidu Finance, where they were responsible for all aspects of risk management for Financial Service Group. In 2017, they founded FinTell Financial Services, a financial technology company with a mission to “Empower Finance with Intelligence”. FinTell has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu, and provides advanced big-data risk management products and solutions to more than a hundred financial institutions and internet finance companies in China. In 2020, they became a Board Member of the Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business International Advisory Board.

Jing Wang received their Ph.D in Physics from Michigan State University between 1992 and 1998. Jing also obtained an MBA in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University between 1996 and 1998. Prior to that, they attended Fudan University for their undergraduate studies in Physics between 1988 and 1992.
