Mari Walls is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and advisory roles across various organizations in the science and education sectors. Currently serving as Director at CSC - IT Center for Science since June 2023, Mari is also involved as a Supervisory Board Member for the Finnish Cultural Foundation and as an Advisory Board Member for the University of Helsinki Research Foundation. Additional roles include Executive Committee Member at the European University Association and Board Member at Varma. Mari's leadership experience extends to serving as Chairman Of The Board for the Finnish Meteorological Institute and Chairperson of the Board for Sivistystyönantajat - Finnish Education Employers. With a strong academic background, Mari holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Turku and has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Helsinki since 1995.
