Riikka Thomson serves as the Manager of Environment and Social at Finnfund, specializing in environmental and social risk assessments for investment projects since February 2017. Previously, Riikka held the position of SHREC Manager at A-Cap Resources, where responsibilities included overseeing safety, health, radiation, environment, and community management for uranium exploration projects. Riikka also has extensive experience as the Managing Director of Occupational Health and Safety Consultancy and as a self-employed occupational health and safety consultant. Academic qualifications include a Master's in Occupational Health and Safety from Newcastle University and a Master's in Health Care Quality Assurance and Leadership Development from Helsinki University, complemented by specialized nursing training.
