Mikkel B. Stegmann has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mikkel B. started their career as a Concept Developer/System Designer at TV 2 DANMARK A/S in 1999. Mikkel B. then worked as a Research Assistant and later as a Ph.D. Student at Informatics and Mathematical Modelling, Technical University of Denmark from 2000 to 2004.

Following that, they served as a Visiting Researcher at Leiden University Medical Center in 2004. During the same year, they held the position of Honorary Research Fellow at The University of Manchester. From 2004 to 2006, they were an Assistant Professor at Informatics and Mathematical Modelling, Technical University of Denmark.

In 2006, they joined 3Shape as a Senior Scanner Developer and later took on the roles of Project Manager, Senior Scanner Developer, and Software Architect, Group Manager. From 2009 to 2010, they worked at 3Shape.

In 2010, they shifted to Teklatech, where they worked as a Senior Specialist and later as a Principal Scientist. Mikkel B. stayed at the company until 2015.

In 2013, Mikkel B. Stegmann worked at Skånes universitetssjukhus (Skåne University Hospital) as a Researcher and Faculty Member, specifically in the Nuclear Medicine Research Group.

Most recently, Mikkel B. Stegmann has been employed at Fingerprint Cards. Mikkel B. started as a Specialist in 2015 and then progressed to the positions of Principal Scientist, Principal Scientist & Technology Manager, and currently holds the role of Director, Touchless Technologies since May 2022.

From 1993 to 2004, Mikkel B. Stegmann studied at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. During this period, they obtained both a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. degree in Mathematical Modelling.
